Gorgeous
factory showroom...
Stuart's
Fine Furniture:

A view of a section of Stuart's
Factory Showroom
To enter Stuarts Showroom, drive in
until you can see the entrance on the south side of the
building to your right. You will see a small porch
over the door to the building.
See Modesto Bee story of August 29, 2005
The Modesto area is pretty lucky to have a high quality
furniture factory in its midst. This area is even luckier in
that the factory has a showroom open to the public with
factory pricing. These prices are only available to local
residents as Stuart’s has franchised dealers in most areas of
the state, including some nearby communities, and has many
dealers across the nation. If you are nearby, but not in
Stanislaus County, you might want to call the showroom first
to see if you qualify to purchase from the factory showroom —
209-537-7449.
The showroom was opened on an informal basis in 2000
Originally the showroom took up only the first section of
one of the factory buildings facing Railroad Avenue across
freeway 99 from downtown Ceres. The showroom is located next
to the Pine Street overpass. Last year, the showroom
was doubled in size with a new section that features wood
paneling, separate bedroom vignettes, a two story fireplace
and a second floor display area. This new section is unique
in that it is finished like a custom home with chandeliers
and other features. You might almost imagine that you’ve
stepped back to a country mansion built around 1900.
Currently the front section of the showroom is undergoing
remodeling, however the showroom is still open and ready to
serve you.
A major feature
of the showroom is the massive two story rock fireplace which
helps show off large seating groups. Most of the décor fits
the craftsmen
period of furniture that Stuart’s builds as well as the other
fine furniture makers featured. The factory showroom also
features unique accessories personally selected by the owners,
David and Linda Neilson. Their appreciation for fine and
unique items is evident in the choices they
offer. Full color ads run regularly in
The Modesto Bee and there is a factory website where their own
furniture is featured. However the factory showroom also
features a number of major brands, such as
Canadel dining furniture,
and Elran Motion Furniture. Click here

line of furniture features a large variety of Home and Office
Computer Desks, back desks, bookcases, file cabinets and
associated pieces. They feature an
extensive line of bedroom suites with all the varied pieces
you would need including cabinets for the latest plasma
TV’s. They also have platform beds in some styles as
well as bookcase headboards with beveled mirrored backs.

An extensively
varied line of Home Entertainment systems is a large part of
Stuart’s line. The styles are designed to be variable
for different sized TV’s and plasma units. There are
many accessory variations allowing for storage of videos, CD’s
and DVD’s and other video and audio equipment.
Stuart’s
Furniture, which is built next to the showroom, is crafted in
your choice of high quality oak, quarter sawn oak, cherry,
maple, ash and alder and assembled in the time honored method
of post and beam construction. There is no particle
board used. It is handcrafted quality. There are over a
dozen different finishes available depending on your choice of
wood.
They also use
only high quality hardware such as ball bearing full extension
glide drawers. The drawers feature English dovetail
assembly. Cedar lined drawers are featured or are
available on certain pieces. They offer a number of
styles of decorative hardware as well.
There slogan is:
“Expect to see furniture built your way.” Customization
or sizing may be available on certain pieces where
feasible.
Click on the
Stuart’s sponsors to the left and you will find more
information on Stuart’s, their hours and how to reach the
